　　Worth 说起来，报考新加坡AEIS考试的学生很早就学过。然而，很多人其实不怎么会用这个词。

　　今天，中国AEIS考试培训中心就一起来看看worth的多重用法。

　　Worth 有两种用法，一是作为形容词，另外一种是作为名词。

　　A. 作为形容词的时候，是 “值……价值” 的意思。

　　1. 一般的句型有be worth...价值(多少钱)

　　A local jeweler says the pearl is worth at least $500.

　　一位本地珠宝商说这颗珍珠至少值500美金。

　　2. worth doing 值得做……

　　He's decided to get a look at the house and see if it might be worth buying.

　　他已经决定去看一下那所房子，看看是否值得买。

　　3. worth + 名词

　　This restaurant is well worth a visit.

　　这家饭店很值得光顾。

　　B. 此外，作为名词，worth 是价值的意思。

　　net worth 净值;资本净值

　　present worth 现值，现在价值;现市值

　　常用句型：

　　a certain amount of money's worth of something

　　价值(多少钱)的 (某种东西)

　　I went and bought about six dollars' worth of potato chips.

　　我去买了价值约六美元的土豆片。
