　　词汇（vocabulary）：

　　Pandemic：流行病（大型的），瘟疫

　　（英英解释：a disease that affects people over alargearea or thewhole world）

　　Strain：菌种，品种，类型

　　说明：上文中的H1, N1, H2, H3, N2都是蛋白质

　　第一句：

　　翻译：

　　翻译：两个后来的流感流行病是由病毒导致的

　　1.of the 20th century定语修饰pandemics，翻译：20世纪的流感流行病

　　2.in 1957 and 1968：插入语，对20世纪做补充说明，具体说明在1957年和1968年。

　　3.carrying H2 and H3 antigens respectively, in combination with N2.定语修饰viruses，

　　翻译：带有分别和N2结合的H2和H3病原体的（病毒），简单理解：两种病毒，分别是：1. H2和N2的结合体，2. H3和N2的结合体

　　合起来就是：

　　其实正常的写法应该是这样的：

　　The two subsequent flu pandemics of the 20th century, in 1957 and 1968, were caused by viruses carryingH2 in combination with N2andH3 antigens in combination with N2,respectively.

　　但是这样写实在太啰嗦了，所以干脆把in combination with N2这个相同的部分直接省略成一个放在句尾了。

　　整句翻译：

　　1918年的流行病是被带有叫做H1和N1的蛋白质的菌种所导致的。后来的二十世纪的两起流感流行病，分别是在1957年和1968年，这两起流感流行病是由带有分别和N2结合的H2和H3病原体的（病毒）导致的
